New Year and New Incarnation

It’s the beginning of February and I’m looking out onto the Tranquil Garden as I write.  Right now there is only maybe 8 inches of snow on the ground, since last week’s sudden, short thaw.  That means I can see various parts of plants sticking up as well as some garden fixtures I left out over the winter.  Some I left out on purpose to add interest over the winter, and some I was too lazy to bring in.  I left a bird house out there that I hope will entice a spring chickadee to set up housekeeping.  I see that my bird feeder needs filling, but I’m all out of birdseed.  (Note to self…) In other words, it’s a desolate winter garden in Quebec.  I am encouraged that we’ve gotten through January and the days are getting longer, but there’s still a long way to go.  In the meantime, I’m going to post some of my garden photos that were on my old website, to keep you going over the cold months.  We all need a little beauty in our lives, so feast your eyes on some greenery and some colour before you go out into the snow.

I love to hear from you!
